TRASH AND STASH

The Greeting Card Challenge at Outlawz this week is "Recycle Plus A Sentiment"  I made a Trio of Cards.  I always welcome a chance to get rid of Stash and Trash.

The two cards above  were used with scraps from Mauve Sprockets a submission to Mojo Monday!

This card was made from stash and trash remains of Golden Collage.  The background paper is remnant of a large sheet that I stamped to create my collage.  The Ribbon Embellishment is actually a bookmark that can be detached by the receipient!

Thanks for stopping by!  C-YA!

DREAM! - My Creative Time DT Call

My Creative Time  is establishing it's first ever Design Team.  I created this card to be considered for a spot on that team!  I love this embossing folder.  It is a beautiful way to frame a stamped image.

Supplies: Neenah Epic Black and Solar White Linen CS; Cuttlebug Scrollwork Embossing Folder; Image: Recollections Clear Stamps - Fairies Collection; Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black.

IF YOU ARE THE FIRST PERSON TO LEAVE A COMMENT HERE BETWEEN JANUARY 15TH AND MIDNIGHT JANUARY 21ST  2012, YOU WILL WIN A SPELLBINDERS DIE SET!!! (GRAND DIES ARE EXCLUDED)

Just For Fun!

Don't you just love this little Teddy?  He was designed by my Teamie, Guylou!  This card was created for the Outlawz Color Challenge (Rust, Mustard, and Navy).  I had fun with this!

Supplies - CS: Bazzill Basics; DP: Echo Park (Dots & Stripes), Bo Bunny (et cetera Collection); Digi Image: Nounours by Guylou.

Well, We're Movin' On Up!

Sandi Huggett, Outlawz DT, designed the Boot digi used in design!  Most of the challenge cards utilized a Halloween theme!  My first thought when I saw this digi was, "the old woman who lived in a shoe" and I thought it would make a great card to give for a house warming or home renovation.

Supplies - CS: Neenah Royal Mauve, Bazzill Basics Blue, Colorplan Harvest; DP: ColorBok;Digi: Sandi Huggett http://sandisamples.blogspot.com/ ; Rubber Stamp: House By the Sea - Stamps Happen, Inc., Misc: ribbon, button, twine.

Fight Like A Girl!

First Post Outlawz DT
This week's Greeting Card Challenge at Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge is "Breast Cancer Awareness.
One of my co-worker's has a hoodie and carry all with "Fight Like A Girl" embroidered on them.  Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "A woman is like tea; you never know what she's made of until she gets into hot water."  I agree heartily with the late first lady. So for me, this slogan was the perfect BC sentiment for my card!  Check out all the great cards at Outlawz!

Supplies and Details:  Cardstock: Cards and Pockets Harvest, Neenah Avon Brilliant White.  Dp: k*i Paper Pack-Princess.  The white cardstock was scored at 1/4" intervals and adhered to The C&P Harvest CS that is cut 1/4" longer than the white layer. The dp is mounted on a square of C&P Harvest CS.  I then scored (on an angle) a 3.75 x 3.75 square of Harvest CS and attaced the Ribbon with a a Pearl Brad.  The sentiment was in Word and cut with a tag die.  My husband found the digi for the boxing gloves on a free download site on the internet!

MY FIRST DESIGN TEAM!

This week I received the biggest surprise of my card making life...I was asked to join the Outlawz design team!  It still seems so unreal!  I ran downstairs jumping up and down and grinning so hard I could hardly tell my husband why I was behaving so oddly!  Then I called my daughter at work.  She was in a meeting, so I had to leave a message  Ten more minutes of celebrating followed and then I remembered that I had to actually accept the invitation so I went back to my studio and accepted, gushingly.

I think I had the same reaction back in August when I was asked to be a Guest Designer at Outlawz...I was shocked.  I knew how good their designers were and  just thinking about having my cards spotlighted along with theirs was a little intimidating.  Now I am on that team..I still don't believe it!   I can't publish my first project as a member of the design team until Monday, but I thought I would show show the cards I created as a Guest Designer.
The Digital Image was drawn by Sandi Huggett, a Design Team Member at Outlawz!  So many talented ladies.  I am on the Greeting Card Challenge Design Team!  I will post our challenges as well as all the other Outlawz challenges here so that you can participate!  C-YA!
