Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog - Green or St, Patrick's Day

Journal Book - A Ladies's Diary
This month at CCCB, we are creating projects using Green/or St. Patrick's Day.  I have wanted to make this journal book ever since I saw the tutorial on YouTube.  I wanted to create something other than a card for this challenge, so I decided to take the plunge!  It takes a lot for me to cut my G45 paper.
The Challenge is sponsored this month by Rick St. Dennis

I added a small gold brad to the center of my 4 leaf clover and it really added visual interest.  The bracelets, belt buckle, and necklace were given dimension by adding Liquid Pearls.  A couple got squished while I was fussy cutting!  I covered my design paper in clear shelf liner before covering the chipboard.  This gives it a matte finish and will also protect the paper from tears and accidental spills.  The closer is an extra button from one of my suits. A magnet is attached to the ribbon and under the belly band.  I coated the image with 4 coats of Aleene's Matte Sealant and attached it with foam tape.

I only had time to embellish one page before the project had to be uploaded. Today, I managed to get four pages completed and to cover my tags.  The pages in this journal are sewn in.  It is so easy and such a nice way to bind the page into the book.  I have started the binding for a smaller book with more pages.  This one has twenty pages.  I hope to make a Share Video when I am done.
The 4 Leaf Clover is only there to help keep the pages open so the picture could be taken.
