613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes w/optional Twist: Use The Spotlighting Technique

Hello, Crafty Peeples!  Our challenge this week is sponsored by Sandi's Samples and Di's Digis.  Both have fabulous images, so hop on over to 613 Avenue Create for your chance to win!

This is my first time using the spotlighting technique.  I always thought it was pretty cool, but just never  took the time to look for a stamp that was doable (in my book)! Well, I am trying to use things from my stash and the Stampendous stamp I used on this project has been languishing in my "special stamps" container for a long while!

The most difficult part of this project was trying to pull the colors together and determining if the spotlighting would appear on the front or inside of the project.
After forty-five minutes of playing around, I realized that black needed to be a more dominate element It also became apparent that the Spotlighting worked best on the inside as a peek-a-boo!
I was really happy with the way my spotlighting turned out.
You can see my oops! (on the slit).  I meant to sand that down before the pictures were taken!
I love the "Tab Card"!  I want to make a few more of these.  That tab can be a powerful design element and would definitely take an ordinary design to the next level.  I think the peek-a-boo effect, is such a creative visual element!  It teases the eye and enhances cohesiveness in the design/
