Shopping Our Stash - Use Something New

Hello, Crafty Peeps!

This is just a quick post to share my project for the Shopping Our Stash Challenge!  This week we would like for you to use something new.  I am sure that a lot of you still have crafting gifts you received over the holidays that have yet to be opened.  Here is a chance to use Something Old and Something New to create a create project.   Here is what I did:

I had to color in the chevrons on my Washi tape becaue they were the wrong shade of red.  When I sprayed the sealer on it, the ink bled...bummer.  The  Washi Tape is NEW!

The only component of this design that is not new is the Card Stock.  The flourish die, resin charm, lace, ribbon, stamp, and even the chipboard and Washi tape on my banner are new.

Hope you will join us over Shopping Our Stash!  We would love to see what you did with your holiday goodies!   Thanks for stopping by!

  1. absolutely *LOVE* this caard: the colors, the elements... EVERYTHING! (ps: before reading the text, i didn't realize you'd colored the washi... i was going to ask where you got the AMAZING "grunge" style tape... it might be my very favorite thing on here, even... soooooo fab and "custom" looking!!!) :) :) :)

  2. Fantastic card Chana! Love that you coloured the washi tape...as for the colour bleeding, I would go with the old "that's the look I was going for"

  4. Love your color combo of aqua, red and vanilla! What a fabulous card design, Chana! Had you not mentioned the bleeding chevron, I would have thought that's how it was supposed to be. :) I think it adds to your design!

  6. My favorite colors! And yeah, washi tape colors can be tricky. I spent about an hour tonight looking for just the right shade of blue tape to match a chevron, then gave up. I never thought to COLOR it!

  7. The washi may not have turned out how you meant it to, but I think it's a big hit! I love it :) Fab charm, and I love that floral swirl die cut :)
