Finnabair In Pastel

Hello, Crafty Peeples!
One of my friends asked if I could create a Finnabair Cover in Pastels.   I don't work a lot with pastel colors, I am more of an earth tones kinda girl.  This is the year of pushing boundaries for me so I am game for most challenges.
This natural light shot is a closer representation of what the colors look like IRL.
The Focal element is the Tim Holtz Writing Desk Die, however, the beauty of Finnabair is that all the elements work together to support the whole.  As long as the relationship can be seen between the elements...it's all good!
I tried to lighten up the photo so you could see the pastel palette.  The background was created using a combination of Gesso, Distress Inks, Stains, Paints and Sprays.   As with all journaling projects, you will need glazes.  I use Luminarte Silks and Twinkling H2O.  Don't be afraid to experiment.

Here is a link to a fabulous video tutorial for this technique.  It is the one I used.
