Good Morning, Crafty Peeples!
This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is: DON'T CRIMP MY STYLE.
For this challenge, I decided to make a Brown Paper Bag - Tag/Bookmark Holder
the format I used can be found here .
Crimping
Years ago, one of my children gave me make-up brush kit. I loved the pretty crimped box and used it in my studio as a large paper tray.
When I began my research for this challenge, it occurred to me that it might be more challenging to try and use the "Crimping" as an accent or embellishing element rather than a focal. So, alas, box was used to make the accent pieces.
The Crimped Heart was constructed by taking three pieces of scrap Kraft paper, gluing them and running them through my crimper several times. The arrow was formed from a scrap piece of raffia.
~~~~~~~~
WHERE YOU SHOULD BE
The Front Pocket holds: Journal Card, two bookmarks (backed with crimped tray pieces)
The Center Pocket Holds this Sentiment Card
The Back Pocket Holds: Four small tags and one Medium Journal/Photo tag with crimped handle.
I glued my handle down and then realized I was supposed to fasten the brads on the inside...ahhh, can't fix because I used scor-tape. I'll try a few things.......
Please visit my SOS teammates for more "crimped" inspiration
Supplies:
Designer Papers: Prima Romance Novel
Hot Air Balloon Stick Pin: Prima Romance Novel
Sentiment: Unity Stamp Company - Where You Should Be
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope I have inspired you..just a little!
