SOMETHING FOR HER!

IMAGE BY ANNE B. FENTON - THE OUTLAWZ
Hi, Cardies!
I am so late posting today!  My laptop just died on me last night.  And if that were not bad enough, I am hosting the Greetings Challenge over at The Outlawz.  I did see that one of my Teamies, probably Angela, our team leader, went in and fixed some stuff.  Anyway, I'm glad it was done.  I couldn't right click to add links or anything else.  I am doing this at work (during lunch).  Okay enough whining.

The challenge this week is to create something for Mother's Day or For A Girl.  I have wanted to use this image for a long time and this seemed the perfect opportunity.  The flower is my first handmade flower (well, I made one from crepe paper but that doesn't really count.  This one I made from a brown paper bag.  Cool!  I am cleaning out my stash, so I'm not so sure where all this stuff came from, except the brown paper bag, which came from Kroger!! (LOL)

Thanks for looking, Ppl!!  Big Hugz, Chana

I plan to enter this into the following challenges

I will probably add to this list.

SPRING FLOWERS! - STAMP-N-DOODLE

Hello, Cardies!  Well, it is nice to return to normal (more or less) after the successful launch of my own challenge blog (Jackson's Digital Expressions)  Of course I am way behind on my DT projects, but I'm catching up and should be working ahead in no time.  This adorable image is from
STAMP-N-DOODLE !  The challenge theme this week is "May Flowers or April Showers."  I was short on time, so I chose an image that would allow me to use pastels and at least create the bright and revitalizing feel of Spring!  If you want this image, all you have to do is ask!

Thanks for stopping by!!

My Blog Hop Winner is Tina Riley!!!!!

Over at The Outlawz, The Greetings Challenge Team has been celebrating come of the strange, even bizarre holidays that are on the US calendar.  For example, today is Don't Stress Day, so we are having a Don't Stress - Distress Challenge.  I have wanted to do something with this cute little pixie from The Stamping Boutique for quite a while and when I saw this Sketch, I thought this would be a good opportunity.  I don't usually mix so many patterns, but every now and then I will step out side my comfort zone!  I don't think I strayed too far from my normal style!

All the papers are from my stash!  The ticket stamp is from Unity's Kit of The Month - March!  The distress ink is Ranger's Fire Brick!

Thanks for looking!

Hello and Thanks to everyone participating in the Hop!!  We had a resignation from our team and I have had to jump in and fill that spot in the hop.  So, if you think you have seen this project before, you have.  I did not have time to make a new card,  and our new DT member is not on board yet, so I hope I can be forgiven for not having a new project here!    My Mystery letter is "J".

After you complete the hop, return to JDE and leave a comment that includes the MYSTERY WORDS. Each DT member will have a random drawing and award a prize to some lucky visitor to their blog, and, we will have A GRAND PRIZE drawing  for those who collect all the letters and correctly Identify the Mystery Words. Here's another Hint: "Like Mary Mary drop the M Mo ary and that's the only rule that is contrary!"

PROM NIGHT!!

We have a wonderful challenge over at Stamp-N-Doodle.  I am posting late, but you still have time to enter your project.  The Theme is use Bold,Bright Colors.  I had already colored this image, so I added the yellow base panel and added yellow to her bow and wrist corsage (which were originally a different color).  I embossed the silver panel with a cuttlebug embossing folder and I added a few prima roses. The skirt of this dress was colored by using a glaze made with silver liquid pearls and Hampton Arts crystal glitter.

I think this image appealed to me because it speaks to a time, so very long ago, when girls actually did dress like this for the prom.  I wish young people still had something to look forward to after age Seventeen!

Chinese, Chalks, Chocolate & Copics - Outlawz Greetings Challenge

Image: Recollections "Kyoto"

The Challenge for the Greeting DT over at The Outlawz was to create a design that incorporated the First Letter of our Name.   I immediately thought of Chinese and Chalk.  Don't ask me why; must have been all that Passover wine. It doesn't really show up on the photo, but there is are Bamboo trees embossed in the white area of the card.  This card came together so easily.  I knew the components, but deciding on how they would be used in the card took a long time.

I used liquid pearls for the flower centers and aso for the ball on her hair pin. The umbrella handle is a toothpick.  The paper umbrella is a flattened cup cake baking cup.  The marjority of the coloring was done with chalks.  Copics were used only to color the folowers and the inside of her sleeve.  The flowers are Prima.  Foliage is Memory Box and the ribbon is from Clear Dollar Stamps.  Embossing Folders used:  Cuttlebug Oriental Weave Bundle.  Used the Weave,  Pagoda Squares and  Bamboo folders.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!

PLEASE CHECK OUT THE DESIGN CHALLENGE AT http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/.

I'll be on the lookout for your name!

WHEW!!! - WE LAUNCHED!!!

DeNetra used
"Phebe Playing With Butterflies
for her amazing 3D project
Good Morning, Cardies:

Well, I get to check one off my "Bucket List!"  I have my own Design Team, sorta kinda, Actually, I am collaborating with Artist Robert Jackson, so technically it is his team.  But I told Robert in the beginning, all I want him to do is DRAW, DRAW, DRAW!  I love his images and Robert is really a nice person.  He has to be; after all,  he let some "TOTAL STRANGER" talk him into TRUSTING HER to pick  the people who will PRESENT his ART to a whole new audience.  Most artists would have hung up on me...a few did!!!
I am passionate about anything that I undertake, so it is nice to have a "partner" like Robert, who sends me practical e-mails, making practical points, that help temper "headlong, hell bent, passion.  I am very thankful and blessed that Robert is the Artist who said Yes.
Chauntelle used
"Chef Phoebe"
for her culinary cutie
Pamela used
"Uh-Oh"
for her whimsical design
Lawren used
"Blessed II"
for her beautiful Gift Box
Yesterday, we launched Jackson's Digital Expressions featuring a week long Blog Hop and our Inaugural Design Challenge.  We also revealed our Design Team.  The Expressions DT is comprised of longtime Jackson devotees and some designers who had never heard of Robert prior to our DT call.  We have experienced, innovative designers and we have some newbies.  I have included some of the DT projects created for our Launch.  I invite you to take part in our hop and challenge.  We have announced prizes, and we have Mystery Prizes that will be awarded throughout the week.  Carla S.  was our first winner.  Her Mystery Prize was a $15.00 Ellen Hutson Gift Certificate. The most rewarding Prize of all, though, will be the discovery of over 300 new digital images!  Robert also does Custom Digis, so now may be the time to get that badge for your blog.  You can see all of Robert's Images at Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.

Here is a little about how we are structured.  We have 5 Challenge teams:  Sketch, CAS, Color, INKS and Such, and Altered Art. (I borrowed this idea from my Virtual Mentor, Colleen Holmes, over at the Outlawz.)  Each week, a different challenge team will be featured.  On April 17th, Sketch Team A will Debut.  On the 24th,  CAS Team A, will host its first challenge.

Finally, we are bulding a cadre of Guest Designers.  Each week' winner will be invited as a GD on a future challenge, but we will also accept on-going applications for GD spots at bydesign613@hotmail.com.   I thank my followers for their past support and encouragement. I hope that you will support this new endeavor by enterinig your creations in our challenges.  Hope to see you there!

Big Hugz and G-d Blesssings,
Chana
