Our Sponsor This week

I purchase all of my Copic supplies from Oozak.  Rusty consistently has the best prices and not just on Copics, but on a large selection of crafting supplies.  If you have not visited Oozak lately, you should stop by and check out the new items.

TEA FOR TWO
I was delighted when I realized that this week I would be able to use a little stamp that I got from Crafter's Companion.  I have used some elements of the set before, but never the main image.  It is also nice to have the chance to work with rubber for a change.

Thanks for stopping by!  I look forward to seeing your project in the Challenge at Through The Craft Room Door!

Hugz,

Shopping Our Stash - Create Your Own Embellishment

Hello, Crafty Peeples!

This week's challenge from our team over at Shopping Our Stash should have great appeal to all crafters.  Creating our own embellishments is something that each of us has been forced to do, mostly out of sheer necessity.  So, what a great chance to do it just because...

I chose to create this faux metallic medallion.  I die cut medallion, pressed it into a Versamark watermark pad, coated it with silver embossing powder and thenheat embossed.  I repeated the process but this time, before the melted powder cooled, I pressed a floral rubber stamp into the center to create my design.  I decided not to get too involved in an image for the front of my project since the focal point is supposed to be my embellishment.  The silhouette is a TH stamp
The Sunflower Stamp and Sentiment on the inside are from Unity Stamp Company's Itty Bitty Stamp Club.  The backing paper is actually the backside of a piece of scrap wallpaper.  I just rubbed Tim Holtz Vintage Photo DI across the surface.  The texture of the paper created a really cool (IRL) look.  It looks like a piece of brown silk.  The wall paper is a silk paper.
Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you will join us this week at Shopping Our Stash!
