Hello, Crafty People!
It is time for our weekly WOYWW blog hop! I have several projects on my desk this week. I had to move my candlemaking supplies downstairs to the breakfast room because I could not plug another piece of equipment into the wall in my studio.
My recent obsession with candlemaking is, subconsciously, the physical manifestation of my prayer to Hashem, asking that darkness not overtake the world. "This Little Light of Mine!" Let it Shine.
My daughter's boss and his wife were out of the country during the holidays, and I have been working on a gift for my daughter to give to the wife when they return. She saw my alcohol ink cards and fell in love with them. I have included one or two of those in her gift, but I also wanted to create notecards that would be unique to her, using her favorite colors!
I created the notecards on watercolor paper, wanting the backgrounds to look like a color wash. After the paint dried, I added metallic paint to elevate the design. My photography does not do justice to the design.
They travel often, as do many of their friends, so I included a Bon Voyage card.
I had to include a candle. I am giving candles to all my family and friends. This one is "Sweet Orange."
And, of course, my little brown bag. These have become a big hit in my family circle!
