SPARKLE!!! - WINTER WONDERLAND

 Hello, Crafty Peeps!

I am sharing a quick card I made using a cute little winter stamp set I found on Amazon.

Northern Lights!
I stamped two sentiments and a tree to show the convenience of using a stamping platform.  Then I realized I could probably create a winter scene with a couple of my critters.  What do you think of my Northern Lights?
This cute set is really budget-friendly, and they have other equally affordable collections.

Warm Winter Wishes - BLEDS VIOLET BLOOM

 Hello, Crafty Makers!

I was recently introduced to a new paper company, BLEDS!

They sell on Amazon and they were looking for Amazon associates who might be interested in trying their papers.  Well, of course, I signed up!

This particular collection was beautifully coordinated.  All of the papers work so well together.  My most difficult decision was deciding which combo to use on my paper piecing project.
~~~~~~~~
My Word of The Year is Aliyah, which, in Hebrew means Return!
My crafting goal this year is to return to stamps, tools, and techniques that were past favorites! I own all of the Prima Dolls that once all the rage and I decided to start my crafty "return" by paper piecing one of my favorite dolls!
~~~~~~~
This collection is a nice mix of florals and geometrics. The geometric patterns are perfect for creating masculine projects. My grandson asked for a gift card from his favorite gamer store, so I created a Gift card holder using three of the geometrics. One piece was a scrap from my paper piecing project!
VIBE DETERMINES TRIBE

My final project was a Journal Card for my January Planner setup!  I should have chosen a different foil, but my goal was just to see how well the paper would accept the ink and the foil.  The card is actually very pretty IRL!

DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?

Hello, Crafty Makers!
I am delighted to share another card created using Cardi-o Stamps!   I absolutely love these silhouette stamps.  Each collection includes a number of awesome stamps that can be used to create gorgeous scenes.  I have been having so much fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do You Hear What I Hear?
Before I discovered Cardi-o Stamps and Laura Wenn's fabulous YouTube tutorials, I was very reluctant to try creating card scenes! My past attempts had ended in disaster, and I vowed to never try again. But then I found Laura's channel, and I changed my mind!
This card is one of my favorites!  The hubster pointed out that my church and trees should have been on the hill, and my large house should have been more in the foreground.  But he said, this was a great card and that I had shown tremendous growth in this area of my crafting!  He is my best critic and greatest fan!
I was even pleased with how I was able to add snow to the tree branches that frame the image.  These are things with which I struggled in the past.  I am a long way from being great at this, but each day it seems to get better!
A Place To Start - December 2022 - Happy Holidays
 Hello, Happy Creators!
Over at A Place to Start, we are closing out 2022 with a simple twist:
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, New Year
The Frozen Bubble
I watched the tutorial for this project ten times before I was able to convince myself to give it the old college try!  I am so glad that I made the effort!
Here is the link to Laura Ween's tutorial!
Holiday Magic!
I created this second card by following another Laura Wenn tutorial.  I have absolutely fallen in love with Cardi-io stamps and Laura's videos are so informative and easy to follow!
As usual, I failed miserably in attempting to photograph the glitter.  I have all these new lights, etc., and still, I struggle.:D)
Thanks for coming by, and Happy Holidays!
FROM OUR GNOME TO YOURS - MERRY CHRISTMAS
 Hello, Crafty Makers!
I have owned my Christmas Gnome stamps for a couple of years now this is my first time creating cards featuring them!  I really wanted to do something using the Gnome house.  I had such fun creating this one.  This design is simple, but it allowed me to go all out decorating the interior!
FROM OUR GNOME TO YOURS
Open card
The patterned paper was the inspiration for this design.  I have held on to this paper since 2014.  But I am committed, I think, to using papers that I have been hoarding as I wait for just the right inspiration to hit me!
Card laying flat
I knew that I wanted to create a window card, so my first action was to adhere the dsp to the card base and diecut the gnome house!  After that, I used a 1/8" strip of double-sided tape to attach a scrap piece of a laminated pouch to the back of the card face to create my window.  I always save the spare pieces of laminating pouches because I find that they are sturdier than acetate, and it saves money!
The final step was to decorate the panel for the inside of the card.  I die cut four of the Gnome houses from scrap cardstock.  I used those to add dimension to the house.  I created a mask and used it to position my house in the window, and also to be a place holder while I created my background.  I only wish the beautiful twinkle of the Christmas tree had photographed better!
If I have enough time, I am going to do a shaker version of this card.  I think that would be a fun card.  I have some mini snowflakes that would look great!
Christmas Baubles- Fun and Easy Christmas Cards
 Hello, Crafty Makers!
This is the next iteration of quick Christmas cards I am making for my SIL!
She really loved the Gnome cards and she asked if I could make a card with the same Christmas baubles I used on her cards a couple of years back!  That was a vintage card on Kraft Cardstock.  These are a little different!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I applied Glossy Accents to the baubles on this card.
It looks great!
All the cards have glitter accents but they do not show well!
I hope she will be pleased with this presentation of the baubles!

I am off now to see what I can do with a Snowman and a Reindeer.  I need ten more cards to complete my SIL's order!

ANOTHER EASY CHRISTMAS CARD!

 Hello, Crafty Mates!

I was very unsure about using this image for a Christmas card.  While it is a winter-themed image, the colors I chose are generally associated with fall.  In the end, I decided to go with it, and I am very pleased with the result.

This is not an A2 size card.  The measurements are:
Face Panel: 3"x4-1/4"
DSP Layer: 3-1/4"x4-1/2"
Card Base: 3-3/4"x5.00"
The image was colored with Copic Alcohol Markers.
The blended background was created using Distress Oxide.
The background splatter is Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.

Easy Peasy Christmas Cards

 Hello, Crafty Peeps!

My SIL surprised me this year by requesting 35 Christmas cards rather than her usual 10-15!  I had to come up with a design that could be executed quickly!  Since she loves "glitter" I decided to do a lot of wintery landscapes and whimsical creatures and characters.

Christmas Gnomes

These cute little gnomes were a perfect solution for my "need for speed!"   I could create a quick blended background, some easy paper piecing/coloring, and use this opportunity to use some of my  DSP stashes!

I am trying to improve my YouTube presentations, so most of my new posts will have videos that will be either a project share video or a project tutorial.  This one is a bit of both!
