When Pigs Fly - Esmeralda

Hello, Crafty Peeps!

Today I have another tag and another wonderful Rick St. Dennis Image.  Rick is sponsoring our challenges this month at the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog.  Here is the actual address: http://crafterscafeblogchallenge.blogspot.com .   I know some people think that with the demise of The Crafter's Cafe, the team also went away, not so, mon ami!  We are here and would love to have you join us.   Our current theme is "For Mother's Day or For a Woman."  

I am still experimenting with mixing acrylic and distress inks to create painted backgrounds.  This one actually looked pretty cool and I considered stamping on it, but I wanted to use Esmeralda for this challenge.  Once I had her colored, I knew the two of them (Tag and Image) were just meant for each other.

Normally, I apply a sealant to my painted backgrounds, but that tends to smooth them out just a little, and, also to darken them.  I wanted this background to remain grainy and bright.  I knew I wanted her dress to be lavender, the yellow and green came by the move of the spirit!
