Shopping Our Stash #417 - Under The Sun, Moon, and Stars!

Hello, Crafty Peeps!
I want to say that I am thrilled to be a member of the Team at Shopping Our Stash!
This is guilt-free crafting at its best.  No one ever loses sight of the fact that for most, this is a hobby, not a second job. So, MUCHO HUGZ to my SOS sisters!

Our theme this fortnight is
Under The Sun, Moon, and Stars!
We want you to use one of these symbols in your project!
I chose the Sun!
This was another successful stash bash project!  The "Play" stamp by Heidi Swapp has been in my stash for almost 10 years, I think!  The Washi tape is at least eight years old.  The newest element on this card is the sun die which I purchased last year.  The inks and bling have been in my studio forever.  I had to fussy cut the sentiment and that was challenging.  I enjoyed making this CAS card.

My disease prevents me from actually playing in the sun. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight is viewed by my immune system as an attack and my body responds with a weaponized rash that is the ugliest thing you could ever hope not to see breaking out on your face, arms and chest.  For the past six years, I have had to practice social distancing pretty much just to stay alive.  So, for me, not much has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, except I am deprived of the visits from my children and grandchildren that always bring me such joy!  My eldest grandson, in whose homeschooling we participate, calls us every day.  I can hear how much he misses us and he knows how much we miss him.

STAY HOME AND STAY SAFE!

Stash Party #9 - A Floral Thank You - Perfect Pearls

Hello, Crafty Makers!
My mojo is trying to work its way back.
In order to keep it going, I raided my stash again looking for products I have not used in years!
Guess what I found:  Perfect Pearls™!
I wanted to make vellum flowers and I wanted to make an aperture card.  I was able to do both and incorporate the Perfect Pearls™
To create my vellum flowers, I stamped the image onto a regular piece of vellum using VersaMark embossing ink and then heat embossed them using white embossing powder.  Using my mermaid brushes, I blended Distress Oxide Inks over the petals and the leaves.  I didn't have dies for these flowers so I fussy cut them.
I couldn't get the light right, but you can see the shimmer!
I created the "metallic" background using Ranger Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls.  I blended the inks on a piece of white card stock and then using a small paintbrush, I applied Perfect Pearls™ to the surface.  I used a microfiber cloth to wipe away the excess Perfect Pearls™.  The metallic finish is so pretty.

Pretty much any background die will work.  I love this bold geometric die.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
***The Heartfelt Creations™  floral stamps used in this project came out of my stash.  They are so old, I fear they may have been discontinued.  I no longer have the packaging for the die.  Perfect Pearls is a Ranger Product

STASH PARTY #8 - Especially For You!

Hello, Crafty Makers!
This fun little card is another product of my stash bash!  I was looking through my stencil drawer and, low and behold, I found unopened packages of Heidi Swapp Stencils. Back some years ago, an online store was going out of business and they were selling everything for a fraction of the regular price.  I must have purchased about 10-15 Heidi Swapp Stencils, some of which included three pieces, a background stencil, a decorative stencil, and a mask for the decorative stencil.
I think it turned out great!  I used Ranger Distress Inks and an Inkadinkadoo Washable ink.  Added stickles to my little bird and I was done.   I also opened a ribbon set that has been in my ribbon drawer for almost three years.  This stash bash has been fun. Now I am off to make flowers!

Thanks For Stopping By!
HUGZ,
