Strawberry and Chocolate Mint - Vertical Toilet Paper Mini Album

Hello,  Cardies,

I have a lot of exciting news this week, but first, let's take a look at my DT project for The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge.  The challenge theme this week is "The Eyes Have it" and to play along, you have to use eyelets or an image in whic eyes are the FOCAL POINT.  This is a great chance to use some of those Saturated Canary and Some Odd Girl Stamps.  I have eylets throughout my mini, but unfortunately, it was difficult to photograph them.
This adorable image is from QKR Stamps, our December Sponsor.  I finally figured out a way to add  "Z" to my hugs, but it happened after the photos were taken.  Adding the "Z" lends even more visual interest.
I love using Laura Denison's "Stack The Deck" binding system.  I ran my toilet paper rolls through the Big Shot a couple of times to get them really flat before I Added my Design paper.  I used a single design paper and wrapped my Chipboard cover, but you can cover each section individually.
Just a look at some pages!
And more!
I couldn't figure out how to photograph the vertical pages.  The album kept closing.  Since my color theme was strawberry and chocolate mint, I used those colors for all my tags and embellishments.   The color on the image is really more green than blue, just not in these pictures.

I am still working on this mini and will make a video once it has been completed!

Chana

A NEW CHALLENGE BLOG

Hello, Cardies,

I have launched a new challenge blog, Nicely Done Designs.  The challenges at this site will be all about the HEART of a designer.  Each challenge will run for two weeks and will consist of Mystery Box Ingredients that must be used in the entries submitted.

At least one Mystery Ingredient will be "odd man out" and I hope these challenges will help all of us step out of our "comfort zones" and start pushing the envelope.

The URL is:  http://nicelydonedesigns.blogspot.com

There are a few other differences for this challenge:

(1) NDD will not have a permanent Design Team, instead,  3 designers will be chosen from each challenge and they will be invited to create the inspiration projects for the next challenge.

(2)  Rather than themes, each challenge will be based on Mystery Box Items.  All Mystery Box items must be used on the project.  When colors are specified, they must be prominent in the design.

(3)  Designers chosen to for the DT will be given the opportunity to determine the contents of upcoming Mystery Boxes.

There will be no prizes awarded and we will have no sponsors.  Designers may use any artist.

Some Mystery Boxes may require rubber stamps as opposed to digital Images and vice versa.

The Mystery Box Contents will be very generic.  Hopefully, most of the  items are already languishing in your craft room just waiting to be used.  We are not enablers!  (HA!)

The first challenge will take place on December 8 2012.  Each Challenge runs for two weeks!

The Mystery Box Contents for DECEMBER 8, 2012

BUTTONS

TWINE

HANDMADE FLOWERS

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD

You do not have to use an image or have a sentiment.  The only requirement is that all of the Mystery Box items must be used.   Good Luck!

Hugz,
Chana Malkah

I hope all of you will participate in the launch on DECEMBER 8TH.
