Tuesday Alchemy - Hopes, Dreams and/or Resolutions
I don't think I got off to the best of starts with my new team, Tuesday Alchemy. First, I misread the sponsor. I want to apologize to Guylou Inimitability the actual sponsor of the challenge. I am on Guylou's DT and I would never intentionally not use her image in a challenge she sponsors. I would also like to apologize to my teammates at TA. I am not usually so dippy.
I am so happy about my selection to the Design Team for Tuesday Alchemy. They always have interesting challenges, but in the past, I was not able to enter as many as I would like because my cards did not fit their criteria....problem solved!
I made this card for my sister who recently celebrated her 92nd Birthday. It was such a sweet ending to the year. My Sister turned 92 on December 24th and my new little granddaughter, Michaela Elise, was born on December 28th. My hope and dream is that I will have the days of life that have been granted to my sister and to my grandmother who lived to be 110 years old. I would love to be around to see all my grandchildren grow up, graduate college, get married and who knows what after that.
I also have hopes for my crafting. I resolve to do all I can to enjoy my hobby without allowing it to take over my life!
Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by!!
Hugz, Chana
This is my very first brown paper bag card. I know I will be making others!
I used lightweight chipboard covered with Kraft paper so the card will stand! |
I really love all the pockets for tags on this type card. |
I added this tag and gift card holder to the back. |
This project will be entered in these challenges:
Through The Craftroom Door - Always Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays - Celebrate Anything
Lady Anne's Challenges- NanaVic's First Challenge

(I'd be happy to make it to 90! Can't believe you have a sister that is 92! You must be the baby of the family.)
This is a fabulous piece, I have never seen a paper bag card before and I am so inspired now to go and make one! I'd say this is a perfect piece to inspire people to take part in our challenge at Tuesday alchemy. So glad to have you join our DT.

Wow! This is gorgeous...I love the color combo, patterned paper, coloring and everything about it!Best wishes and Happy New Year to you :)
ReplyDeleteHey there, Chana! Love this project - love the colors, papers, textures and layers. There is a lot going on here, and it's the kind of card that makes my heart go pitty pat. And how useful, too, with the addition of gift card holder! Regarding your mistake, as a former boss used to tell me, he would judge me on my mistakes when he stopped making them himself. Hey, it happens! It'll be a funny story a little further down the road! :) Welcome to the TA team - we're glad to have you!
ReplyDeleteWow - what a fantastuc card! I love the papers, the images and the colors. And the sentiments are delightful. I know your sister loves it :)
ReplyDeleteWow Chana, That is great. Very fun. Thanks for joining us at TTCRD.
