Happy New Year!
Posting a project at WOYWW is a great way to start my new year of crafting! I hope my life will be less adventurous in 2025 and I can dedicate myself to crafting consistently. My one and only resolution is to work on building my YouTube channel. I am not looking for tons of followers; I just want to keep adding content.
The last time I posted at WOYWW was in April of 2024. Since then, the founder has stepped back from managing the hop, and Sarah has stepped up to keep WOYWW going. I was happy to see that the blog hop will continue. It is a great place to gain inspiration and meet some fantastic people!
I am starting 2025 by returning to the material that started me making cards in 1998: wallpaper!
Wallpaper is fun and easy to work with! I plan to create as many cards as possible from my "Orange" sample book. Each one will be a different card fold, interaction, or cut!

DeleteHappy New Year Chana. A great idea to use wallpaper samples. I used to use it with my school class. It made lovely textured background for collages etc. Happy crafting. x x Jo 🌈
ReplyDeleteThanks! My love for wallpaper has been rekindled, and it is helping with my "No spend" resolution!
DeleteHappy New Year Chana, so nice to see you on the list again! What a great idea to use wallpaper samples for your crafting, works really well and looks just as good as Craft papers too. Good luck with your YouTube channel!

Hi, Jan! It is nice to be back! Thanks!
DeleteNice to see you again. How do you get hold of wallpaper sample books? Every now and then I walk around B&Q and take a couple of samples from their sample rolls. Some lovely designs, but a lot were too big for me to use. I never thought of cutting out shapes from wallpaper, but a great idea. Happy New Year and happy WOYWW. Angela #9
ReplyDeleteHi, Jack! I go to Sherwin Williams and other independent stores! Sometimes they will tell you that they have to throw the books away. Which translates "I'll meet you at the dumpster!" I was fortunate to have a good friend who worked at a wallpaper shop and then an interior design studio. He would just load up the truck of his car and bring the books to me. I would keep what I wanted and get rid of the rest.
DeleteGlad to see you back Chana. Happy New Year - may it bring health and lots of crafty opportunities. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah! Glad to be back! Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! Thanks! I need a few more subscribers! :D) Just kidding. May you too remain happy and healthy in 2025!
ReplyDeletewelcome back, great to see you crafting again. ooh never thought of using vinyl wall paper, I must admit I often collect samples of some intersting designs, as you say, they make really good papers.

Nice to see you again. I love wallpaper for crafting and I wonder. Have you ever thought to scan the samples and use them as papers that way? I scan a lot of my painted paper and find them so useful - plus using Affinity to tweak the colours offers some crazy surprising results! Love the cards. Me? So late - so shameful, but I'm having a major sort out and deep cleaning takes time!
