SPARKLE - ECLECTIC ELLAPU

Hello, Cardies,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Usually, I use a lot of color in my projects, but for this challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, I wanted to try my hand at using Elaine's technique using duct tape and an embossing folder to created the look of aged metal.   The photography on this project is not so good and I apologize for that, but the person who received this Key Chain Mini Tag Album found it hard to believe that I made it with:

An empty Orbitz chewing gum box
Three Strips of Duct Brand Tape
Couture Creations Diamond Trellis Embossing Folder
Black Acrylic Ink

This was my first attempt and although it actually turned out okay,  to see how fantastic this technique looks when done by an expert, you should check out Elaine's blog!  Her work is fabulous and she has done some outstanding pieces.  I plan to give it another try and I am going to try spraying on additional colors after the black ink has dried.  I could have cut this shape out on my silhouette, but it was more fun using the gum box.

I plan to enter this into a few challenges.  I will come back and list them.

Hugz,
Chana
