Hello, Crafty Peeps!
Natalie suggested our theme this month and it is a good one. If you are like me, you are always looking for ways to reduce your paper scraps and extra ribbons, die cuts, etc., so this month you have 8 chances to use only scrap pieces in your project.
Yes, each month you can submit 8 projects to our challenge.

STEP BY STEP
I started my project by grabbing items from my stash box.
The first piece I picked up was a piece of grid paper.
I decided to use the grey lines as the color director for my project.
That decision made it easier for me to find coordinating papers, twine, etc. to build my project.
I was especially happy to find a use for some leftover serendipity squares. Two loose flowers with blue, grey and brown highlights determined my decision to use a leftover kraft card base.
MOCK IT UP!
I am not one of those brilliant card designers who can create amazing cards off the top of their heads without a lot of planning. I need my mockups to get my best design results. For this project, I wanted to emboss or stencil on the center panel to add depth but doing that would compromise my sentiment placement. I had an extra cream panel so I mocked the card up using both the embossed and plain panel. I also mocked the project up with distressed edges and without. I am a slow crafter and I learned the hard way that I cannot be on more than three design teams at a time.
GETTING IT TOGETHER!
When I use multiple panels, I generally use a small amount of wet glue or a glue stick to adhere the pieces to the main panel, and then I use regular transparent tape to secure the pieces to each other. The tip that works for me best when securing this grouping to my card base is to use double-sided tape with wet glue. Adding wet glue to the ds tape allows more time to wiggle things into place.
This single grouping is easier to adhere to the card base. No need to fuss around with the individual elements.
In the end, I removed the grey twine from the card. When I decided to distress the edges, my greys did not stand out as much.
