Hello, Crafty Folks!
Welcome to another fun challenge at Shopping Our Stash!
The theme this fortnight is Here Comes Suzy Snowflake!
I have had these snowflakes hanging around since last year and this challenge is the perfect opportunity to finally use them. I planned an entirely different project but computer issues forced me to make something simple. I do, however, love my embedded snowflakes!
I have not purchased crafting supplies in almost a year now, well, actually it has been nine (9) months. From now on, every project I create will be "shopped from my stash!" I have been tempted, but I would rather have a new floor and new furniture in my studio!
My Snowflake card was created using this tutorial:
Hugz!
I usually don't do Christmas challenges, but I found a new (to me) challenge "Christmas Kickstart" that I thought would be fun for my friends who do celebrate Christmas. I did not create this card specifically for their challenge...but I think Dotty Jo will let me slide this time! Check them out!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbara!
DeleteThis is absolutely beautiful Chana! What an elegant card! Kudos to you for resisting purchasing new craft supplies. That's an impossible task for me. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chris! My husband is happy...no more Amazon boxes or China mail!
DeleteWOW WOW WOW this card is soooooo gorgeous Chana!
ReplyDeleteGold and white with a pop of silver and black - beautiful!
I very much admire your committment to stash crafting!
That could be part of my 2020 goals!
Thanks, Donna! When I started my "diet", I really did not think I would be able to do it! Now, I don't even think about it. I have seen some gorgeous dies and papers and interesting new inks but I have way too much stuff already!
DeleteBeautiful card - love the CAS styling! Would fit in nicely over at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge too, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo! It is there! I hope to get two more entered!

Oooh, I love the embedded gold snowflakes - that's a great concept for a CAS too. Ok, you are pushing my Use Stash button... I need a meeting! Just went to Stamp Expo and came home with new rubber & dies. Heavy Sigh.

DeleteOoooh! Chana, I love the embedded gold snowflakes. Spins my brain off with ideas... thanks! You are absolutely pushing my guilt buttons re using stash! I need a meeting. I just got back from Stamp Expo in No. Calif. with new red rubber & dies. Maybe the idea is that when I am tempted to go shopping, I should "Shop" in my stash for something I have never used! Lots of choices in there!

Thanks, again! Yes, I have hundreds of dies and hundreds of 6"x6" paper pads! My stamps are too numerous to count. I realized that I was using items one time and then storing them away like old tax returns. My goal for 2019, and continuing into 2020, is to touch everything in my studio at least once during the year. No buying (except white card and glues, etc.).
DeleteThis is so beautiful those snowflakes are every so pretty, the gold and white really look beautiful together one of my favourite colour combo.

Yes I really like this composition! I was glad my dies were the same ones Helen used in the tutorial. Thanks!
