Favorite Teacher Appreciation Package - Stationery Box

Hello, Crafty Makers!
This appreciation package was created for my grandson's favorite teacher.  This is her last year at his academy and I am as sad as he is to see her go.  She is one of those teachers who is truly invested in giving her students the best possible chance to succeed in their academic pursuits far beyond high school.  Our family will never forget the wonderful way she inspired Josh. We may even eventually get used to him correcting our grammar!😀

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #189 - Inspired By A Movie

Hello, Crafty Peeples!
Well, with all the Oscar Buzz, it is only fitting that the challenge at
Shopping Our Stash  is to
Create A Project Inspired by A Movie.
Please remember to mention the Movie in your post!
I chose "The Great Gatsby" which is not only one of my favorite movies, but also is among one of my favorite novels. Working on this project reminded me of my freshman year and the nights my study group spent sitting on the terrace of the University Center discussing Daisy, Gatsby, the accident, and the eyes of Dr. T.J. Eckleburg

I was planning to make a note holder for a family friend who is a "Fashionista" so I thought this would suit her perfectly.  And the quote from the novel is equally "her."
Graphic 45's Couture Collection captures The Gatsby Elegance so well.
"The Great Gatsby" was set in 1922,  when women were really just really embracing a new freedom, particularly in how they dressed and how they styled their hair.
Oh, yeah, and how they danced!  Everybody was a "Flapper"

Coupon Holder and Shopping List - Final Random Act of Kindness Gift

Hello, Crafty Peeps!

Here is my fifth and final RAK Gift.
I decided to change up the layout on the inside so that I could make one later for my SIL   Anymahoo,  for this design I put aside my paint, stains and gelatos and used pretty paper.
Very CAS on this cover!  I wish I could have gotten a close of of the closer.
I mixed glue, glitter and TH Distress paint and came up with this lavendar pantine.
 Really cool IRL!
You can almost see color on the closer here.
The flower in the corner was cut from a piece of scrap wall paper and then mod podged....a lot!

Again, CAS was the order of the day for this project.
So on the back just another wallpaper flower.
I have to make two more of these and I really like this configuration.  I hope that have more of those
large paper clip at Dollar Tree.  If they don't, I have to make my own.

Thanks, so much, for stopping by!

613 Avenue Create Challenge Blog - ANYTHING GOES WITH OPTIONAL TWIST: RAK

Hello, Crafty Peeples!
 613 Avenue Create's optional twist is
 Random Act of Kindness Week
 I have completed  three. Two have been delivered the third will be delivered Thursday.

 The Note Holder I am showing here today, I decided to keep for myself.

Truth be told, I basicallyjust with crazy with my metallic inks and homemade shimmer mist.
I just love Crafter's Companion's "Art Is" stencil.
A couple of weeks ago, I removed the last hair clip from it's packaging and decided to keep it as a stencil for my Mixed Media Projects.  I used it to make the cool circles on the back of my project.  I dabbed the circles with a little gelatos.
The cascade/waterfall provides a space for photos or permanent notes.  There is a small tag pocket beneath.
Is that a cool paper knife or what?

Thanks for stopping by!

Shopping Our Stash --Who's Who :The Greatest Gift

Good Morning, Crafty Peeples!

Our challenge for you this week at Shopping our Stash is that your create a project that includes a photograph of a person or a stamped image of a person (humans, people, etc.)

I have chosen to use an image that was given to me as a gift form Christine Armstrong.
Christine is a Digital Artist for Whimsy Stamps and the owner of  Crissy's Art and Heart Blog.

Daddy's Heartbeat

You can find Crissy's Whimsy Images HERE
~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't do a lot of Clean and Simple, but one of those 'happy accidents'  was to dictate the final design.  For the CAS purist, I am sure this card has too many layers and would be a major fail in the
"ease of production" which is the keystone of any good CAS project.
I am working on a Stationery Project using this image and,  if what is in my head actually translates to paper in design development, I think it will do justice to Crissy's touching and beautiful rendering.
