WINNING!

IMAGE: "LIL INJURY" BY ROBERT JACKSON
This week at Jackson's Digital Expressions, we are recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness. Just last night a new research study was released which gives additional hope that we may be winning more and more battles against this devastating cancer. Please help us fight by entering a project at Jackson's Digital Expressions and Mema's Blog challenge. At Jackson's Digital Expressions $1.75 per entry is being contributed to Breast Cancer Research for every challenge entry. Mema's has pledged $10.00 per 40 entries in her monthly challenge. Two chances to make a difference by simply doing what you already love to do, Crafting. Below are some BCA images that you can purchase at Fine Arts By Robert Jackson, if you do not have BCA stamps or digis. Most Digi stores carry BCA images.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE A BCA IMAGE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CHALLENGE.  JUST MAKE A CARD AND USE THE COLOR PINK SOMEWHERE IN YOUR DESIGN!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Hello, Cardies!  I need your help!  Tuesday, My Challenge Blog, Jackson's Digital Expressions will host its Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge.  My husband, daughter and I are pledging $.25 each for each project entered into our challenge.  Francine, one of my designers, has joined us in this pledge.  I do not want money from you, I just want you to help by entering a project into the challenge.  The more entries we receive, the larger the donation.

Thanks in advance for your support of this most worthy cause!

From My Patch

I've decided that my Chanukah gifts are going to be altered notebooks.  The are fun to make and they are utilitarian.  This one is my challenge project this week at Stamp-n-Doodle.  I keep all the winners of the Jackson's Digital Express Challenges and The Sponsor Dates for all JDE sponsors in this little pad.  I don't know what I'm going to do when it runs out of pages.  It was a give away at Ikea and I have not been able to find it on the internet anywhere.  It has a thick, hard plastic cover on top of the usual glossy cover that you find on most notebooks of this type.  I was able to decorate both covers and when you close it the papers underneath show through.   Cool!

Thanks for stopping by!  The challenge this week at STAMP-N-DOODLE  is Anything Goes!  If you have a Lauren Curtis image, we would love to have you use it for our challenge.  If you don't, you can find Lauren's images in the Stamp-N-Doodle store!

A MOTHER'S LOVE!

Hello, Cardies!  This month challenge at the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog is Stitching Faux or Real.  The challenge is being sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs and I used one of their images for my first project.  Since The Stamping Boutique is our permanent sponsor, I try to split my projects and do one of theirs each month.

I really didn't know what I was going to do with this image, but then I started thinking about growing up and the sentiment "love with strings attached" just popped into my head. in the Fifties and even early sixties when all mothers wore aprons,  toddlers would either grab the hem of their mother's skirt or pull on her apron strings.  I guess since most mothers wear pants and the apron is a thing of the past, toddlers today have to do the leg wrap on their mothers.  In the fifties, leg wraps were reserved for fathers.

Hope you like it!

Hi, Cardies, I have two Images for you this week and some good/bad news!  The good news is that I have been promoted to Team Leader for the Greetings Challenge Team at The Outlawz.  The bad news is that this came about because my friend, Angela, stepped down from the team.  I will miss her.  The Outlawz was my very first design team, so I am just too excited about this new role!  Okay, now on to my DT Inspiration Projects for Jackson's Digital Expressions.

Hi, Cardies, just a quick post of my week 1 DT project for Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog.  Our challenge is a monthly challenge and we have two Design Teams who alternate weeks.  Currently Team B's week 1 projects are being show cased.  We would love to have you stop by and enter a project.

Create any project using some kind of stitching; hand, machine or faux.  There are no limits for the challenge, you can make anything you like and use any image.  The challenge will run until midnight on September 30, so you still have plenty of time to get your project in.

Tom Boy

I should have posted this card on Monday, but I have been fighting fatigue all week.  I barely make it through my work day and when I get home, I go straight to bed.

This was my DT Inspiration card for The Outlawz Challenge honoring National Sewing Week.  My homage to sewing is the stitching across the top.  I need to get a new craft sewing machine.  The one I have is too lightweight.  I cannot freehand stitches, as you can see.  I will probably upload a different shot of this card when I get home.  I think there is too much light on this one and it washes out the colors.  I love Mayzy's images.   They are fun to color.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wide Awake!

GUYLOU INIMITABILITY
Hello, Cardies!  Well, the long summer break at Guylou's is over and the team is back in full force!  I was delighted that Guylou found my work interesting enough to ask me to continue my tenure with her team.  I am so happy to be able to continue on a team with so many talented artists.

Guylou spent her time away from "blogging" changing her residence, vacationing, and creating some really exciting new images, including the one used in my project.  I called this wide awake, because that is what my daughter would always say when she fell asleep studying.  I would say, "Stace, honey, you need to go to bed.  You were asleep."  She would always respond: "I was wide awake, Momma! I'll never get this done if you keep waking me up to tell me I'm asleep."  Today she is the Corporate Controller and Vice President of Finance and Accounting for the 2nd largest Asset Management Company in the US!  So, maybe sleep learning really works! (LOL).

Hop over to Guylous and check out what my teammates have created for this challenge.  Oh, yeah, the challenge.  The challenge is - "An ABC Primer".   Your design should include.  Apple Red, Bling, and Charms!  What a fun challenge!  I may have to steal it for Jackson's Digital Expressions.  Seriously!!!

Challenge Deadline:
You have until 10:00 pm on September 20th to link your project to the InLinkz at the end of this post. Please make sure your project matches the requirements before you link it.

How to participate:
You can enter only ONE project per challenge, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries. If you don't have one of her digistamps and your budget is tight; please check her online store where several freebies are available.

Prize:
A winner will be selected randomly and will win:
1. A $10.00 gift certificate from Guylou's online store
2. and the winner will also be invited to be a Guest Designer on one of our challenges in the Fall.

48h Freebie:
Guylou is offering a freebie for 48 hours starting September 7th to September 9th. Please visit www.guylou.com, add School Essentials to your cart and apply the code SCHOOL-FREEBIE at check out to get it free.

Grabbing Air!!!

Hello, Cardies!  Over at Stamp-N-Doodle, our challenge this week is to create a card using wet or dry embossing.  I chose dry and then almost covered it up trying to develop the skateboarding theme for my project.  Anymahoo, I had fun with this one.  We would love to see your projects, so if you just happen to have an embossed card, drop by and add it to our collection or make one just for us!

These two cards were  made a couple of weeks ago for Stamp-N-Doodle!  Since I won't be creating a project at Jackson's Digital Expressions for tomorrow's challenge, I thought I would publish Legend and Capture Life!

I had my own challenge trying to get my glitter evenly distributed on her skirt! (smh)  But since then I saw a tutorial with tips on how to do this more effectively so next time my sparkle with be beautifully balanced!

Please check our our challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions tomorrow.  If you like Altered Art and 3D projects,  we would love to see some of  your work!
