You Are Matchless - Avenue 613 Challenge - Create Your Own Challenge

Hello, Crafty Peeps!  This week at 613 Avenue Create, we are asking you to create your own challenge.  We had this theme last month and it was a big hit with our "residents" so we decided to do it again.
Image, Sentiment, Patterned Paper, Solid Color Paper Any Sketch,
Die Cut, Glimmer Mist, Pearls, Ribbon
I used Perfect Pearls Glimmer Mist on the Cover.
It does not show in the photo, which is too bad because it elevates the project.
I was inspired to create this matchbook card by a project that I saw on Tammy Tutterow's Blog.  You can find Tammy's project HERE

I realized (a little too late) that I should have cut my base a little longer to accomodate by bulky embellishments on the internal pages.  I corrected this on my Geisha Matchbook, which will be posted here later today.

This is pretty much a CASE of Tammy's Project.  I liked the idea of using newsprint (Tammy used Tim Holtz Papers) so I used pages from an old book that I keep around to use on my tags and cards.

Of course, it did not occur to me to photograph the pages BEFORE the matchbook was bound.
All of the sentiments and images are related to "Friendship"

I have ideas  for three more matchbook cards.  These puppies are loads of fun and so easy to make!  Thanks Tammy for the wonderful inspiration and the fabulous tutorial!

I Still Like Books - Artistic Inspirations Challenge

ARTISTIC INSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE - ANYTHING GOES!!
(images by Eureka Stamps (Friends) and QKR Stampede (Nurse Mouse)

Even though I finally broke down and purchased a Kindle Fire with the Birthday Money from hubby (who has still not recovered from the fact that I did not buy crafting supplies!!!) I still love to read. I love paper.  So I hope we don't really ever go totally Star Trek, at least not in my lifetime, anyway!

These bookmarks are quick and easy to make.  It is a great way to use your stash!
It is all folding.  Any square sheet of paper will work.  I wouldn't go smaller than 4"x4" though.

My teammates have come up with some pretty awesome projects, so I hope you will drop by and check them out!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugz,
Chana

Strawberry and Chocolate Mint - Vertical Toilet Paper Mini Album

Hello,  Cardies,

I have a lot of exciting news this week, but first, let's take a look at my DT project for The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge.  The challenge theme this week is "The Eyes Have it" and to play along, you have to use eyelets or an image in whic eyes are the FOCAL POINT.  This is a great chance to use some of those Saturated Canary and Some Odd Girl Stamps.  I have eylets throughout my mini, but unfortunately, it was difficult to photograph them.
This adorable image is from QKR Stamps, our December Sponsor.  I finally figured out a way to add  "Z" to my hugs, but it happened after the photos were taken.  Adding the "Z" lends even more visual interest.
I love using Laura Denison's "Stack The Deck" binding system.  I ran my toilet paper rolls through the Big Shot a couple of times to get them really flat before I Added my Design paper.  I used a single design paper and wrapped my Chipboard cover, but you can cover each section individually.
Just a look at some pages!
And more!
I couldn't figure out how to photograph the vertical pages.  The album kept closing.  Since my color theme was strawberry and chocolate mint, I used those colors for all my tags and embellishments.   The color on the image is really more green than blue, just not in these pictures.

I am still working on this mini and will make a video once it has been completed!
Hugz,
Chana
