2020 Stash Party #1 - Unforgettable Birthday Wishes

Hello, Crafty Makers!
I am sticking to my guns and not making craft purchases this year.  I was successful last year and I hope to be equally committed to saving money in 2020.  Since I am doing more planning this year, I did subscribe to a monthly box program for my planner.  I will, however, continue to use stash items for most of my projects.
Today's card to be included in a boxed set of all occasion greeting cards that I am designing.    I plan to use a lot of critters and a lot of flowers.  Most of the cards will be one or two layers because I don't want to make cards that create extra mailing expenses for my clients.  All the fancy designs will be reserved for "one of a kind" special occasion cards!

Finding The Concept
I wasn't quite sure where I was going with this project. All I knew was that I wanted a Tri-fold card with critters so my project birth certificate looked like this: (I know that the word client is misspelled. I hate to waste paper so I decided to use the two or three I printed before I caught the error.)  There is a page 2 on the back of the birth certificate where I list the step by step but the one for this project was far too messy to photograph.
SUPPLIES AND TOOLS I USED ARE LISTED AT THE END OF THE POST.
Project Description
Occasion: Birthday
Card Size 4.5" x 5.5"
Paper: 110lb Neenah Solar White - Card Base
Paper: Bazzill Classic
Paper: Stamped Layer: 65lb White Card
Card Style: Tri-fold
Techniques: Blending, Masking, Die Cutting and Stamping

My first step was to play around with the positioning of my images.  I arranged the stamps in place the stamping platform. I always do a practice stamp on a piece of scrap before actually stamping onto my card panel. I stamped the images first with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and then with  VersaMark embossing ink.  I used WOW clear embossing powder to heat emboss the stamped images.
To do the masking, I stamped another set of images onto "full adhesive Post-It Note sheets (I find these to be more economical for masking small images.)  With all the images colored and masked, I blended my background.
Real Party Animals!
If the flap is properly cut, the card will stand on its own.
I blended the flap to match the panel and stenciled in some clocks.
The construction of a Tri-fold card is very simple since it is really just two 4.5"x5.5" note cards joined together after removing about 1/16" from the backside of one of the note cards.
When the card is closed, I wanted the gift box to protrude so I die cut two layers of craft foam and attached them to the back of the colored image.

I thought it would be fun to give this card to a child and allow the child to color in the image on the inside.
