Hello, Crafty Makers!
I simply cannot seem to pull my self out of the stencil and background ink blending mode! Maybe, in 2021, I will get back to stamping and maybe a little bit of coloring. My honest intention, when I started this card, was to create a "Children's" card for a DT assignment. But my muse was on a totally different page so I ended up creating this floral birthday card!

Re-Memorable Birthday
I was pleasantly surprised by how well my colors blended together. I added the Fossilized Amber for highlights and used the Iced Spruce to stencil in the Shelled Ginger.
I added a piece of craft foam behind my decorated panel. To maintain the balance between the white base and the panel, I added a little white splatter. The final touches were a layer of metallic gold card stock and three sequins. I finished this project in a little under two hours, which is a record for me!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is gorgeous and I understand how addictive stenciling can be, using them and buying them. Hugs, Teresa
ReplyDeleteYour stencil mode is working beautifully, I love the colour combo on this card and the gold card addition. Your white splatters are something I cannot do, so kudos for you.

It's a beautiful and elegant card, those colours create a perfect combination. This thing has also happened to me, several times you start a project for one purpose and when you are finishing you know it's something totally different but it's perfect for another theme or idea. Great job. María, xx.
