2020 Stash Party #44 - A Re-Memorable Birthday

Hello, Crafty Makers!
I simply cannot seem to pull my self out of the stencil and background ink blending mode!  Maybe, in 2021, I will get back to stamping and maybe a little bit of coloring. My honest intention, when I started this card, was to create a "Children's" card for a DT assignment.  But my muse was on a totally different page so I ended up creating this floral birthday card!
Re-Memorable Birthday
I was pleasantly surprised by how well my colors blended together.  I added the Fossilized Amber for highlights and used the Iced Spruce to stencil in the Shelled Ginger.
I added a piece of craft foam behind my decorated panel.  To maintain the balance between the white base and the panel, I added a little white splatter. The final touches were a layer of metallic gold card stock and three sequins.  I finished this project in a little under two hours, which is a record for me!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

2020 Stash Party #4 - Happy Birthday - Dusty Rose

Hello Crafty Makers!
Today's post is just a quick one.  I made this card simply to use up some of the paper scraps on my work table.
Dusty Rose
I do not use a lot of gold on my cards. I don't even know why I purchased the flowered gold paper used in the project. It is, however, quite pretty. I love the color of the paper.  It reminds me of a spool of ribbon I once had that was called "Dusty Rose." A ribbon I have never been able to find again.
The roses are the same dusty pink as the paper and I thought they would combine for an elegant birthday card.
I have found so many fun supplies while digging through my stash, like the three little flat back baby bling.  I have also had the heart die for a while but this is the first time I have used it.
Several years ago, WRMK introduced its "Next Level" embossing folders.  The EFs make deep impressions and create a more defined background.  I used the hearts folder for this project.
I purchased practically all of the Spellbinders™ "Edgeabilities®"  dies when they were first introduced.  I think I may have two of them.  When I explored my die collection, I found most of these unused.  I made use of two of them to create the borders that frame my roses.

When I started my crafting diet in 2018, I didn't think I would be able to resist the temptation to purchase the "hottest" new die or stamps.  I was surprised by just how easy it was.  We are twenty-three days into 2020 and I have made glue and tape purchases but I have avoided adding to an already mostly neglected stamp and die collection.  I have more money in my pocket and more peace of mind.

Happy Birthday -- So Glad I'm Still Here!

This is not a craft post...well I guess it kinda, sorta is.....
MY BIRTHDAY HAUL - NOVEMBER 20, 2014
Yesterday was a fabulous day for me.  Our family is always low key about birthdays, holidays, anniversaries.  We are NOT known for wrapping anything and one is more likely to get CASH as a gift.  Face it, Cash is Crucial.

But this birthday was special, because just a few months ago, we were not sure that I would even be here to celebrate this hallmark year.  I was so depressed....not about the thought of dying....everyone has to die at some point and many years ago G-d removed from me the fear of death.  I was depressed because people in my family are extremely long lived.  My sister will be 94 on December 24th.  I could not believe that I would die before I reached 65... REALLY?  My father was 96 when he died, my grandmother 110, my aunt Hatti 120, in my family at 64 your are still a teenager.

Anyway, once everyone figured out that the fabulously brilliant Dr. Greene, working in close association with HaShem, was going to keep me here, choosing birthday gifts for me was easy...money for crafting supplies or crafting supplies.

The gifts and CASH continue to roll in.  When I was ill, family and friends did not call and ask my husband if I were feeling better, instead, they would ask, "Did she craft today?"  From April until August,  I could not craft.  Now that I am at it again, they are making sure that I never run out of supplies.   THANKS FAMILY, YOU GUYS ARE THE VERY BEST!!!!!
From my Son: Storage Bins
Michaels had these on sale and I came across them while on the phone with Tim.  So I asked him if he would get them and he said "Sure, Mom!"  This is four units.

I am not posting a project today, but I did want to wish the President a Happy 52nd Birthday!
It is too late to sign the card, so the link is not active

Politics aside, I have the biggest crush on this man!
