Hello, Crafty Makers!
I love using Distress Oxide Inks, stencils, and graphic stamps to create custom backgrounds. I purchased a lot of graphic stamps and stencils to create journal pages but I never quite got the hang of journaling (I may have another go at it.) Now, at least, I have a new use for these stash items.
I created my blended background on a piece 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of white card. I failed to take into consideration that I would be cutting the panel down to 4-0" x 5-1/4", which meant I lost more of the stenciled hearts than I intended. Fortunately, this worked out just fine. I think more hearts would have been too much.
The "Love" sentiment is probably my favorite element. Normally, when I don't have a die for my sentiments, I start with a wide cut that follows the shape of the word sentiment, and then I do a more detailed fussy cut. In this case, I thought the wide shape would work better so I just left it.
Really gorgeous card. Very artsy. Hugs, Teresa
