I am late posting for the hop at WOYWW! Yesterday was one of what I call my "lost days." They usually start about two weeks before my treatments. I used to fight them and force myself to "do something." Of course, all I accomplished was making the fatigue worse. Now, when my body says, "I'm tired," I find a good book, curl up, read five or six paragraphs, and immediately fall asleep. I have fewer lost days!
So this is what is on my desk this morning. When I crashed Monday night, I was looking at some fun stencils and a set of lighted crochet needles that I need to review for Amazon. I am working on a Fairy project and thought the winter stencils would make a nice frame.
I am excited to try these crochet needles. The set included a cute tension ring (I collect these), and I was pleased to find that the design was not already in my collection.
It has only taken 20 years to finally choose a storage system for my stamp pads that provides easy access. I have tried multiple systems, but I like this one best. I am currently reorganizing my stamps and dies. I had to review several die storage systems recently, so I will probably end up with a hybrid one.
That's it for me! Wishing all my WOYWW hoppers a fabulous week and continued blessings in 2025!
Hugz,
Chana
We are really bad at taking time out for ourselves, I know I’m one of the world’s worst but I am learning. It’s just not worth keeping going when you need to stop. I am amazed by those light up crochet hooks, didn’t realise that such a thing existed - is that to make crocheting in low light easier or just for fun? It would be great if the lights could sequence in time to music, that would be very funky!!

I like your idea about sequenced timed to music, now that would be something else. Yes, they are designed to be used in low light situations. I can now crochet in bed and not hear the hubster's constant "turn of the light, please!"
DeleteYou must do what's best for you and don't force yourself when you know you're tired. Wishing you a very happy woyww. Hugs Angela x7x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela! I am doing just that. It feels funny but I am growing more and more confident in my decisions to slow it all down!
DeleteOh what a delight to find lots of comments today, WOYWW is certainly my "constant" at the moment and I thank all you lovely ladies for being there for me, I am blessed.
ReplyDeleteThank you too for your Jewish Blessing. I did a bit of Hebrew a few years ago but hadn't come across that one. I tend to read my Bible on an App so my physical one is mainly for Journaling in, and I do have a NT one as well for journaling too. They are both specific journaling Bibles. I do have other hard copies in the house and my pre-app days one is nearly falling to pieces with lots of pencil journaling in it too. I do find actually doing the water colouring makes the text and specific words jump out at me so that is an added blessing. I also have a "Faith Journal" which is a ring bound multi media paper book for more journaling other than water colouring. Just lots of ways to glorify the LORD. Hugs BJ#3
Thanks, BJ! I have often wondered but didn't want to ask! I think your journaling is lovely and a wonderful method of self-expression and praise!
DeleteJust realised I only commented in reply to your comment and not actually your blog post doh! Wow lighted crochet hooks, never seen those before, do the lights help with the crochet? The stencils look great too, but no good me looking them up as the US and UK Amazon versions are somewhat different I find. I hope you find the right things to do before your treatment and are not hard on yourself. Hugs BJ#3 again
ReplyDeleteI had never seen them before either! They help in low light and I am finding that they are very helpful with my astigmatism. I tried them out this morning and I can see my stitches better. I don't drop stitiches and it makes it easier for me to distinquishe the back loop from the front.
DeleteI wish these stencil were on the UK Amazon because they are great!
