613 Avenue Create -Twist: Wedding/Anniversary - Save The Date Wrap Card

Hello, Crafty Makers!
Today I am presenting a second project for the challenge at
I actually created this card several months ago but for some reason, I did not create a post for it.
Wrap cards are fun and easy.
 Save The Date Notice
When choosing your die, make sure the back edge is not a cutting edge.
Although the card measures 4"x4", it fits nicely into an A2 envelope.  If I were creating these for a real client, I would make envelopes sized to match the cards.
I used a very nice Deckle Edge Stationery sheet on the inside.
I applied Wink of Stella™ to the stamped image.
A simple rubber stamp with a place to add the date!
I added a few champaign flatback pearls to elevate the design.
My biggest challenge was figuring out how to thread the ribbon without damaging the flaps. For the life of me, I could not find my thin blue ribbon.
I love the ribbon closer, however, one could make a belly band instead.

Stuff I Used
Papers:  Deckle Edge Stationery, Blue Cardstock.  Both from Paper Plus
Die:  Heartfelt Creations "Layered Scalloped Posy" Cut and Emboss Die

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you will join the Challenge.

Here and Now - Lots of Hearts - Art Impressions Challenge

Hello, Crafty Makers!
Today I am featuring another image from my friend Rick St. Dennis' January "Hearts" bundle.   The theme of the challenge over at Art Impressions is "Lots of Hearts" and no one has more hearts than this fella!

Wrapped Up In Hearts
This is another one of my Wrap Cards.  I wanted to play around with a different shape and practice using shapes for which I don't have dies.
I colored the image and then cut it out leaving a one-eighth inch border around the edges.  Next, I traced around the edges of my cut image on the red cardstock and cut it remembering to leave a small section on the fold to serve as my hinge.  I traced the image again on a piece of white card stock to be used on the back of the flap.
I used my heart die to trace the shape onto the red card stock and then cut it out by hand, again remembering to leave a small portion attached at the fold.  Then I cut two white hearts for the second flap and two small red hearts.  One for the inside panel and one for the front flap.

Although it does not show well here, Wink of Stella was applied to all of the hearts on the image.  I try not to use loose glitter because it tends to get stuck to everything and takes days to get rid of completely.  IRL, the shimmer is beautiful!
Stop by Rick's Zibbet store and pick up his January Bundle ($7.00 for six digital images and one free surprise image) you'll love them!

Thanks for stopping by!

Shopping Our Stash: Hearts On Fire - Wrap Card

Hi, Crafty Makers!

This week's Hearts on Fire challenge at Shopping Our Stash presents a rare opportunity to create a project (not related to Valentine's Day) using one of the five hundred or so heart shaped dies and/or stamps languishing in your stash.  Of course, if you simply cannot help yourself, a Valentine project will work!

A Kraft Heart Themed Wrap Card
Once again, my love of Kraft card stock is on full display.  I really wish the "Brush of Stella™" on the hearts and the score lines had photographed better.  All that glitter gives the card a more elegant feel.
Again, so much of the sparkly detail is lost in this photo.
The accents show up better in the video (see below).
You can see a tiny bit of the Stella glow in this one.

I added the Kraft card layer behind the red layer AFTER I had completed and published the video.  It is amazing how that one small change made such a big difference in the project's presentation.

Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge: Leaf It To Me - Use Leaves on Your Project

Hello, Happy Makers!
The challenge at Shopping Our Stash this week encourages makers to create a project that features "Leaves."
I love the wrap cards because you can use almost any large stamp or die to produce a beautiful design.
I used one of the trimmed away flowers as an embellishment for my small sentiment.  I love all the white space!
Another great feature of style is the generous white space.  You can write a short letter.  I added a sentiment on the inside but it could easily be left blank.
This image is not as "leafy" as the one above but I thought it would make a cool wrap card!   I added Glossy Accents™ to all the flowers and a little Wink of Stella™ to the pails.
I was able to use a large sentiment stamp on this one!

Thanks for visiting!
I hope to see your work in our challenge.
