Shopping Our Stash #413 - My Heart Is On Fire!

Hello, Crafty Peeps!
It's time for another fortnight challenge at
"My Heart Is On Fire"
You may use Red, Hearts, Fire or any combination of the three!

Everything used on this card is from my stash.  I have had this Neenah "Hot Pepper" linen card stock since 2003.  I am down to my last three or four sheets.  It is so expensive now I doubt that I could afford it! The gold card has also been in my stash since 2001.  I have quite a bit left.  In the past, I didn't use much gold but that is slowly changing.

One of my crafting goals this year is to use my embossing folders and my old impression plates.  I was able to use three of my favorites in this project.  I was also able to use one of my flatback pearl hearts, which are almost 10 years old.  I am not spending one unnecessary penny on crafts.  I am finding far too much good stuff in my stash!
I decided to keep the inside very simple.  I do think that I am going to go back and stamp a sentiment.  I was running a tad bit late with my project and it wasn't until I took the pictures that I realized I need a sentiment.  I only have like 100 Valentine stamp sets!😀
I cut my little heart using one of my old steel rule dies!  They are the reason that I have a brand new, still, in the box, Big Shot under the bed in the guest room and another in my studio, along with my BS Plus and BS Pro.  The Hearts EF is a WRKM Next Level.  I am glad I purchased almost all of these before they were discontinued.  The diagonal embossing was made using a Couture Pinstripe EF. I just turned the panel at an angle.   The Swiss Dots EF is a very old Cuttlebug A2 EF and was among one of my first purchases back in  2004.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!

Happy House Day - A Special Non-Valentine Card

Hello, Crafty Makers!

The Hubster and I do not celebrate Valentine's Day but, because we closed on our home on February 14th, as a joke we always say Happy House Day!
This year, the Hubster surprised me with 4 boxes of Truffles that are only available at this time of year.  I was stunned.  Two of the boxes were the ones I always want and never get because they sell out so quickly and two were a new variety that he thought I might like.  And even though he said they were not Valentine gifts, I still felt the need to make a card to thank him.  He loves it when I make cards for him.
He likes Kraft CS because he thinks it is more masculine.  I was looking through my stash of 6"x6" papers and I found this amazing steampunk paper by Bo Bunny.  I layered the printed paper onto a piece of Gold CS.  I cut my hollow heart and then decided to make it a window by applying a piece of acetate.  I double-stacked adhesive foam to give the window depth.   My original plan was to have the word "together" on the inside of the window and the word "forever" at the bottom by cherub's foot but I did not like that composition.  I like the placement on the cherub's wing.  Since this will be displayed in his man cave along with his other cards from me, I was not concerned about the cherub hanging off the edge.  In the end, The Hubster loved it and that is all that truly matters.

Thanks for Stopping By!

Inky Impressions - New Release

Hello, Crafty Peeples!

It is "New Release" Day at Inky Impressions.
   We have some fabulous new images to help you create those special Valentine Cards.
~~~~~
Also, Make Sure you visit our Inspiration Blog  to see what my Teammates have Created!
You can find this image HERE
I am using Kissing Booth!
 This little gift card holder is based on a project I saw on  Grace Nywening's blog.
In the new incarnation of this design, I let the curvy border extend all the way across the page.
I am doing severeal more of these, but I am going to use the curvy border on all of the edges.  I think it will make the design more cohesive and cleaner.
 This is a weird shot, but it was the best way to show both sides of the holder!
THE OUTLAWZ GREETINGS CHALLENGE
Image "Jar of Hearts" by Bugaboo Stamps
This week at The Outlawz, The Greetings Challenge Team is inviting you to "Show Us Your Hearts". We would love to see your creations we know they will be awesome.  When I saw this jar of hearts image, I figured it would be fun to just color it.  Yesterday I had a coloring session with my grandson, Josh.  A great time was had by all!
I love my Big Shot!  I think it just makes such crisp, sharp embossed  designs!  I put both folders on the  BS at the same time because I wanted my heart to be de-bossed.  The Alignment worked out perfectly and helped with with the final placement of my focal image.  I am so addicted to my BS that I bought a second one in case anything happened to the first one.  I know they won't stop making them, but my second one also had the cool platform that they don't make anymore.  I am so careful with my original platform  I don't like the new ones.  Maybe I should start a petition! :D)
Hope everyone is off to a wonderful start, this week!  Thanks for dropping by!
HUGS AND KISSES - DT CARD
Hello, Cardies,!  Over at Friendship's Garden, our challenge this week is a sketch!  I am the world's worst at sticking to the absolute true sketch design, but I try to get close.  I think you can see the sketch.  Although it is hard to see, the Focal Panel is actually sitting in a frame.  It's a pretty cool effect in real life!
Supplies:  Neenah Classic Linen Cover - Solar White; Memory Box Dies - Serfina Heart (I ued the negative); Embossing Folder: Couture Creations Pinstripe; Butterfly: Offray - Stylish Accents; Ribbon -Dollar Tree; Sentiment: Inkadinkadoo - Hearts and Love Clearstamp set.  Miscellaneous: Pearls-Want@Scrap; chalk,
Thanks for taking a look!  head over to FG and enter the Sketch Challenge, just remember, no stamping (except your sentiment) is allowed.  Digis may be used but they must be pre-colored.  I love this challenge site.  You really get to use all your wonderful dies, charms, embossing folders and other design elements that usually only compliment a stamped image.  It is a great way to learn how to use paper in more challenging and decorative ways.   IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE COLOR CHALLENGE CLICK HERE!
