LOVE BIRDS - Crafter's Cafe Challenge Card

Hi, Another quick post!  I would absolutely love to have you join us at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog!  Our theme this week is Pearls and Swirls!  The image is a freebie from MelJen's Designs.  I don't do a lot of Swirls and Pearls, so I may have gotten just a little carried away!  My teammates have come up with some really fabulous projects.  I would love it if you would drop by, check out their work and enter a project into the challenge!  See you there!

HELLO DOILY!

Image by Guylou's Inimitability "Leah At The Cocktail Party"

Helllo, Cardies!  I was responsible for the Theme at Guylou's for our current challenge. One of my favorite songs and movies is "Hello Dolly" and I thought it would make a great challenge.  Guylou has five images that I wanted to use for this challenge, and narrowing it down to one was a challenge in and of itself!!  I love the Leah series and this particularly image personifies "Hello Dolly!  I used a mixture of Liquid Pearls and Studio Glitter Glue to create her "sequined" gown.

Materials: Neenah CS, dp from scrap, Hygloss Paper Lace Doilies, Prima Flowers, Spellbinders Label #18, Martha Stewart Punch "Doily Lace Trim", Copic Sketch YG11, Hampton Art Studio G Glitter Glue.

Challenge Deadline:You have until 10:00pm on May 31st to link your project to the InLinkz at the end of this post. Please make sure your project matches the requirements before you link it.

How to participate:
You can enter only ONE project per challenge, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries. If you don't have one of her digistamps and your budget is tight; please check her online store where several freebies are available.

Prize:
A winner will be selected randomly and will win:
1. A $10.00 gift certificate from Guylou's online store
2. and the winner will also be invited to be a Guest Designer on one of our upcoming challenges.

STAMP-N-DOODLE - OVALS OR CIRCLES

Digital Image by Lynn Crosskill

Hello, Cardies!  This week at Stamp-N-Doodle, we are challenging you to create a card using ovals or circles.  For the adventurous among us, you can use both circles and ovals.  I decided to stick with circles only.  I also liked the idea of using squares and circles to frame this wonderful image Lynn gave the team to work with this week.  I am the first to say, I am not a queen of Copics.  I am not even a serf, so I was a little intimidated by this image.  Finally, I just said to myself, "self, I know you can do this.  Just image what you think a wolf would look like if you encountered one in the wild"; (of course, I'd be running so fast in the opposite direction that I still wouldn't know what the thing looked like.)  But this is my idea.  I would love to see what you do with Ovals and Circles...I just know this will be an exciting and creative group of challenge submissions.  Thanks for Loooking!

Just For You

This is my non-traditional X-mas tree.  I don't normally do X-mas themed projects, however, This week's Greetings Challenge at Outlawz was "Gift Wrapped" and I wanted to stick with the theme. I could have done a Chanukah card, but I don't believe it giving gifts at Chanukah...makes it seem like X-mas. But I didn't believe in giving gifts at X-mas either.  I don't like the commericialization of  religious holidays.
Supplies:  Neenah Classic Crest - Ivory CS; Lost&Found Two - Sunshine DP, Recollections Printed Scrapbook Papers; Spellbinders Nesties; cArt-Us Embossing Folders; Momento Rich Cocoa Ink; Ribbons, Pearls, Stickles.
